Serenity mixed with humor (see small bug on bottom of painting) have always been a part of the magic experienced on the river. Flyfishing is an integral part of the artist's family and elements of that peace are reflected here. Many different techniques were applied to give this painting a sense of peaceful reflection. The juxtaposition of the reel against the water symbolizes sometimes needing to set down the tools of life and just enjoy the moment. Solidity mixed with light and depth were inspired by the person it was made for. Rock and cork elements reflect the yin and yang of life, while pure choas can throw the wildest wind knot your way. Reel peace is finding your way through life without getting a hook in your ear.
